Pricing

To keep things simple there are 2 options when hiring out our china:

option 1
  • £4 per person will
  • include all the crockery & cutlery you will need to host your tea party.
  • The items marked with * are for approximately 5 guests which can be adjusted if necessary.
  • Teacup, saucer, small plate.
  • Cake fork, knife, teaspoon.
  • Cake/ sandwich plates/ cake servers*
  • Cake stands*
  • Sugar bowls & tongs & milk jugs*
  • Tea/coffee pots*
option 2
  • If you would prefer to hire items
  • separately these are our charges:
  • Cup, saucer, small plate – 50p each or £1.50 per trio
  • Milk jug – £1*
  • Sugar bowl and tongs- £1*
  • Cream/jam bowls – £1*
  • Cake slice – £1*
  • Sugar tongs – 50p*
  • Tea/coffee pots – £3* small – £4 large
  • Sandwich/ cake plates – £1 50*
  • Cake stands – 1 tier £2, 2 tier £3,
    3 tier £4*
  • Cutlery – cake fork – 50p,
  • dessert knife- 50p, teaspoon – 20p

We can also supply:

Vintage/ embroidered tablecloths – £3 to £4 depending on size
Crochet blankets – £5


Hiring

The hiring process is easy – just let us know what you need & the number of guests.

To secure the booking you will be asked to pay a non-refundable holding deposit of 25% of the total hire fee. The remaining balance will be required 14 days before the event date.

At the same time of paying the balance you will need to pay an additional 25% damages deposit in case of any breakages or losses.

During the hire period any breakages or losses are your full responsibility. The exact price charged for breakages will depend on the item in question.

The damages deposit will be refunded once the hire items are returned and checked.


Cancellation Policy

If you have to cancel your booking, we require you to let us know in writing or by email. If we are notified more than 14 days before the event your 25% deposit will be refunded to you.

If we are contacted after the 14-day period, you will be charged 50% of the total hire fee & the rest will be refunded.

The normal hire period is generally 2-3 days but if required an arrangement can be made for longer.

This information has been made available in good faith and although every effort is made to ensure the information provided is accurate, we cannot be held responsible for any errors or inaccurate claims.

Whilst every effort is made to fulfil your order, we regret that in the event that circumstances beyond our control prevent this from happening, our liability will be limited to the value of your order and no damages will be paid in respect of alternative arrangements you may make or losses you may incur.


Delivery

The order will be either ready for you to collect or delivered to your venue at an agreed time & date. We are happy for you to collect & return your items from us directly therefore avoiding any collection or delivery charges. We can deliver free within a 5-mile radius (of Bathford). Anywhere more than 5 miles will be charged at an additional 40p per mile for delivery & collection. Please discuss your requirements with us so we can help you.


Description of Crockery & Cleaning

As these items are vintage and fine china, they may show signs of age with possible pattern fading, marks etc. Some of the items match but most are mismatched. This may mean that sizes vary slightly.

Because of their fragile & delicate nature we ask that special care is taken when handling & storing items. Please remove all excess food & re package for their return. No washing up is required as we carefully hand wash them to preserve the gilt and patterns. We ask you politely, please do not put items in a dishwasher, microwave, or oven.
